I've finally dropped some new furniture into the Gameroom/ManCave and whitled down the amount of toys on display to make the room feel a bit more welcoming. Before I had two small recliners and 80+ Halo figures plus vehicles strewn about the room and it just didn't look like it was well thought out. Now I actually enjoy spending time here.

Sometime down the road I'd like to tackle replacing all the old skool paneling and drop in some sheetrock and really do the space up nice. We'll see.

I am a total sucker for anything Halo related. I enjoy toys as it is so when companies start coming out with collectables and replicas from the game itself I'm in heaven.

Enter: The Halo Plasma Rifle Laser Tag set.

I don't so much care about the laser tag features as much as I do the novelty of having a weapon from the game in my hands. The way it lights up and does its best to reproduce the sound effects and actions from the game is great. The only thing it needed was a small plexiglass mounting stand so you could easily have it upright on display. Thats my next minor project so that it'll have a nice place next to my Cat Helmet.

Good times!

Checkout this pic from my spare storage room:

I walk through this room once a week to do my laundry and it struck me the other day how anally absurd it is to have this much crap. And this is only one part of my collection. I know there are some of my friends that feel my pain :)

I JUST snagged these beauties today! I went by EBGames over lunch to pre-order CoD4:MW and these where just being unboxed. Naturally, I snagged them ASAP.

The bases are cheesy plastic but the weapons themselves are die-cast which is really nice. Because of the die-cast it has some weight to it and the detail is about what you'd expect for $20 a pop. Overall I dig them and they'll make a nice addition to the obsession.

Mjolnir Armor Project
OMG! To see Master Chief walking a dog is priceless! I can just see you strolling through your 'hood in Mjolnir armor, but not walking a dog, just yourself. I say after you complete this your next project is a 1:1 scale functional Mongoose!
