Dammit. I thought my obsession with the Joyride line of figures was bad enough (75+ figures in my gameroom...) and affordable at $15 a pop.

Now these new McFarlane figures and vehicles look kick bootay and are in the same price range! You can pre-order the whole Series one set for $94 from ToyWiz.com which includes a Special Edition White Spartan. I'm already hooked. Time to box up all but my most valuable Joyride series and start making room for the new figures! w00t! w00t!

OMG. I am determined to make one of these in all my spare time...which I have none of but hey, a guy can dare to dream right? I snagged a few pics of the full suit Mjolnir Battle Armor from Halos Master Chief created by Adam Grumbo.

You have moments in your life that make you proud. For nerds like myself its when your son is 8 years old and takes you and your buddies to school at Tekken 3. Indeed, a proud moment in my gaming corruption of my children. I also had the opportunity to experience that same feeling with an entirely new generation, my grandbaby Emily.

Shes at that age where she's very curious about everything so she's into everything. I have five Lightsaber FX in my office that she eyeballs pretty good each time she wonders in there so I decided to let her checkout my new Yoda Lightsaber as its just her size. She thought it was pretty neat at first then when I turned it on I thought she was going to drop it and run screaming out of the room as the effects are pretty loud. Once she got used to it though you could see the joy in her eyes...the joys that only Star Wars can bring to a young mind. Heheheh. My work here is done!

About my R/C hobby interests

As just about any boy growing up in the late 70s and early 80s I was drawn to the radio controlled vehicles you'd find at K-Mart or in the JCPennys Christmas catalog. I thought those where the end all be all at that age and no idea there was a whole other level of R/C technology out there. When I was in high school I bought my first entry level hobby kit, the Kyosho Ultima Buggy. Things like real oil filled shocks blew my mind! Oh how things have changed. I've had several cars over the years and currently I'm into the mini-variety for ease of use and parts affordability. Theres nothing like driving an all-wheel drive on-road electric car 25mph+ on a clean tennis court. Again, good times!

Mjolnir Armor Project
OMG! To see Master Chief walking a dog is priceless! I can just see you strolling through your 'hood in Mjolnir armor, but not walking a dog, just yourself. I say after you complete this your next project is a 1:1 scale functional Mongoose!
